Overview
BariPace is a personal pacing timer and record tool for iPhone and Apple Watch. Core app data is stored locally on your device. We do not sell personal information, use meal records for advertising, or require an account to use the app.
Information BariPace handles
Local app data
Your timing profile, cue preference, onboarding answers, session dates and durations, comfort selections, private notes, hydration reminder state, app language, and entitlement cache can be stored on your device. This information may be included in an Apple-managed device backup depending on your settings.
Apple Watch synchronization
BariPace uses Apple's WatchConnectivity framework to send your selected timing and cue pattern to your paired Apple Watch and to return completed session summaries to iPhone. This transfer is handled by Apple between your devices.
Notifications
If you enable hydration notifications, BariPace asks iOS for notification permission and schedules a local notification for the interval you selected. The notification is generated on your device. You can disable it in BariPace or system Settings.
Exports
PDF and CSV exports are generated on your device. They leave the app only when you choose a destination in Apple's share sheet. The selected destination's privacy practices then apply. Review an export before sharing it because it may contain private notes.
Purchases
Apple processes subscriptions, trials, offer codes, purchase history, and payment information through StoreKit and the App Store. BariPace receives product, eligibility, transaction, and entitlement status needed to show offers and unlock Premium. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Analytics
When analytics is configured and enabled in a distributed build, BariPace may send coarse product events through Mixpanel, such as app launch, onboarding completion, timer start or completion, paywall view, purchase outcome, restore outcome, or export creation. These events help us understand reliability and feature use.
Analytics events are designed not to include meal notes, comfort selections, exact timing values, hydration values, care-team details, exported content, medical information, or Apple payment details. Mixpanel may process technical information such as an app-generated device identifier, device type, operating-system version, app version, approximate network-derived location, and event time under its own privacy terms.
Sharing and service providers
We may use Apple for app distribution, purchases, device backup, notifications, and Watch communication; Mixpanel for limited analytics when enabled; and email or infrastructure providers when you contact support. Providers process information for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable law.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete records where that control is available, reset onboarding, or remove the app. Removing BariPace deletes its local container, subject to Apple-managed backups. You can remove exported files from the destination where you saved them.
To request access to or deletion of support or analytics data associated with you, contact us. We may need limited information to locate and verify a request. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.
Children and international processing
BariPace is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required in their country. Service providers may process limited information in countries other than yours, using safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as BariPace, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
