This Privacy Policy applies to the NapLadder iOS and iPadOS app (“NapLadder,” “the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). NapLadder is intended for adults caring for a baby; it is not directed to children for their own use.
Privacy at a glance
- Your baby profile, generated plans, nap diary, bedtime records, and caregiver note are stored locally on your device.
- NapLadder has no account system and does not upload your diary to a NapLadder-operated server.
- Care Circle sends a limited handoff to Apple iCloud only when you deliberately prepare and share an invitation.
- Mixpanel analytics and Sentry diagnostics operate only when the distributed app contains valid provider configuration.
- NapLadder does not use the advertising identifier, sell personal information, or perform cross-app advertising tracking.
Information stored on your device
NapLadder may store the information you enter and the results it calculates, including:
- an optional baby name, age or birth date, current number of naps, transition selection, recurring sleep signals, usual wake time, bedtime, and preferred transition pace;
- generated nap windows, duration targets, bedtime, plan confidence, and explanatory suggestions;
- nap start/end times, optional mood and notes, manual nap entries, night-wake count, and logged bedtime;
- an optional caregiver name and Care Circle handoff note;
- language, reminder preference, onboarding state, and other app settings.
This data remains until you reset it in the app, delete individual information where a control is available, or remove the app. Apple-managed device backups may retain app data according to your backup settings.
Optional private iCloud Care Circle
If you choose Care Circle sharing, NapLadder uses Apple CloudKit and CKShare in the iCloud container iCloud.com.ai.napladder. The handoff record can include the child display name, selected nap transition, generation time, next nap time, bedtime, completed nap count, and the note you entered.
The record is created in the owner’s private iCloud database and shared through Apple’s invitation interface. Public permission is disabled. Apple processes iCloud account, invitation, storage, and sync information under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Recipients you invite can see the shared handoff; invite only trusted caregivers and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
The iCloud owner controls sharing through Apple’s sharing interface and iCloud account. Removing NapLadder from one device may not remove a record already stored or shared through iCloud.
Analytics
When enabled in the distributed app, NapLadder uses Mixpanel to understand onboarding, tab and feature use, reminders, Care Circle status, paywall activity, and purchase or restore outcomes. Events include app_name=NapLadder and use a randomly generated app-install identifier.
Current analytics properties are limited to selected language, onboarding completion, onboarding step number, selected tab or feature source, product-loading counts, StoreKit product identifiers, and technical success or failure categories. NapLadder does not send baby age or name, current nap count, selected transition, sleep-signal answers, usual wake or bedtime, individual nap times, nap duration, mood, diary notes, caregiver names, or Care Circle handoff content to Mixpanel. Mixpanel may still receive technical request information such as IP address, device/OS characteristics, and timestamps.
Mixpanel processes analytics under its applicable service terms. We use this information for app functionality, product analytics, troubleshooting, and subscription operation—not advertising.
Diagnostics and performance
When configured, NapLadder uses Sentry for crashes, errors, session stability, and sampled performance traces. Sentry may receive a pseudonymous identifier, device/OS and app version, timestamps, network metadata such as IP address, stack traces, error messages, and technical performance data.
We do not intentionally attach baby names, caregiver names, diary notes, or Care Circle handoff content to Sentry events. Error messages can nevertheless contain limited technical context. Sentry processes data under its applicable service terms.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, NapLadder requests iOS notification permission and schedules nap and bedtime reminders on the device. Notification text may include the child display name. Anyone who can view the device’s notifications may see that text depending on lock-screen settings. You can disable reminders in NapLadder or iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions, trials, purchases, offer-code redemption, billing, refunds, and entitlement restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account. NapLadder receives transaction and entitlement information needed to display products and unlock Premium. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
When information may be disclosed
Information can leave the app when you deliberately use Apple iCloud sharing, the system share sheet, email support, or another export action. The receiving person, app, or service handles that information under its own policies. We may also disclose limited information when required by law, to protect safety and rights, or as part of a lawful business transfer.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
You can use NapLadder without Care Circle, deny notifications, switch language, restore purchases, reset onboarding data, remove local app data by deleting the app, and manage iCloud sharing and subscriptions through Apple. Mixpanel, Sentry, and support records may be retained according to provider configuration, contractual requirements, security needs, and applicable law.
To ask about access, correction, or deletion of support, analytics, or diagnostics information, email us. We may need limited information such as an approximate request date and app-install context to locate a record, and in some cases a pseudonymous record cannot reasonably be connected back to you.
Security, international processing, and children
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service, but no device, transmission, or storage system is guaranteed secure. Apple, Mixpanel, Sentry, and their subprocessors may process information in countries other than your own subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
NapLadder is provided to parents and adult caregivers. Do not give a child direct control of the app or enter information that is unnecessary for planning. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when app behavior, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
For a privacy question or request, email support@shortsblink.com. Do not include a child’s name, health details, full sleep diary, or Care Circle note unless strictly necessary.
